Carol Anne Falks lived with an enduring curiosity about the world and a deep appreciation for knowledge. She was an avid reader and lifelong learner whose professional life included work as a librarian and substitute teacher, including teaching experiences in physical education.
Learning was not simply something Carol did for work. It was part of who she was. She enjoyed literature, genealogy, crossword puzzles, knitting, books, and opportunities to discover something new.
Her love of literature and fellowship was reflected in her participation in the Sisters Sippin’ Tea Columbus Literature Book Club. Those who spent time with Carol encountered a woman with a wealth of knowledge and life experience.
Carol’s life was deeply connected to faith and fellowship. She participated in the Golden Wisdom Senior Ministry and Sister-2-Sister Women’s Ministry, finding opportunities for friendship, encouragement, and sharing her wisdom.
She shared decades of life and adventure with Frank. His coaching career took them to communities throughout the country and gave them opportunities to travel, experience new places, and create a lifetime of memories.
Their legacy continues.
Carol’s life demonstrated that education does not end with a diploma. Learning can remain a lifelong pursuit. The scholarship carries forward her belief in knowledge, growth, and the possibilities that come from continuing to learn.
